ABOUT HENRY SHEYKIN
Financial logic
built for real decisions.
I’m Henry Sheykin, co-founder and Financial Modeling Lead at Financial Models Lab. I help founders, entrepreneurs and business owners turn complex operating questions into clear, auditable financial models, business plans and pitch decks.

MY BACKGROUND
Finance experience first.
Modeling with context.
My background spans banking, corporate finance, CFO-level leadership, business analysis and financial planning. That experience shapes how I approach a model: not as an isolated spreadsheet, but as a working representation of the decisions, constraints and cash consequences inside a business.
For more than a decade, I have focused on financial modeling and worked as a part-time and fractional CFO for companies in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. The work has included budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, valuation, scenario analysis, fundraising and operating decisions.
I co-founded Financial Models Lab to turn that practical modeling experience into transparent planning tools. My custom work now spans more than 200 projects across industries, from software and marketplaces to hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and real estate.
THE PERSPECTIVE I BRING
One expert across
the numbers and the story.
The model, plan and presentation should explain the same business—not three disconnected versions of it.
Business-specific logic
I begin with how the business earns revenue, uses capacity, incurs costs and turns activity into cash.
Visible assumptions
Important inputs remain identifiable, discussable and easy to update as evidence improves.
Connected materials
When a project includes several deliverables, the financial logic stays consistent from workbook to written plan and slides.
Usable handover
You receive the agreed editable files and a clear walkthrough of the structure behind them.

Detail you can follow.
Materials you can use.
The review connects the financial work, the written explanation and the presentation. These are the questions that guide it.
| Review question | What I look at | Why it matters to you |
|---|---|---|
| Can the assumptions be traced? | Sources, dates, definitions and the distinction between evidence and estimates. | You can explain where an important figure comes from and what would change it. |
| Do the materials agree? | Revenue, staffing, opening dates, funding and milestones across the agreed deliverables. | The model, plan and presentation support the same business story. |
| Does the logic hold together? | Operating relationships, financial connections and the behavior of the agreed scenarios. | You can follow the effect of changing an assumption through to the relevant outputs. |
| Can the intended reader use it? | Document structure, chart labels, financial explanations and editable files. | The recipient can understand the argument and your team can work with the materials afterward. |
EXPERIENCE ACROSS INDUSTRIES
Different sectors.
A close look at each business.
I adapt the model architecture to the economics of the business, rather than forcing every project into the same template.
